As the school year is coming to a close here at BU we have concluded our spring practices, finished out our strength testing and recently presented our annual team awards and announced the 2009 team captains. Wow... serious run-on sentence there. For the second straight year, BU volleyball was awarded with the highest Team GPA of all Bethany intercollegiate teams - with freshman, Kelsey Sanner, blasting out a 4.0 GPA! AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention and CALPAC All-Conference 1st Team selection, senior Treva Crocker was voted Team MVP. Senior libero and team co-captain, Emily White was awarded the team’s Most Inspirational Player and freshman, Kelsey Sanner was selected as the team’s Most Improved Player. Our 2009 team captain will be Brittany Francis who will look to lead a young, exciting and energetic Bruins team this coming fall. (for you "newbies" joining our program this fall, expect a call, text or email from Brittany soon). Congrats to everyone. Thanks for the effort and hard work on the court, in the weight room and in the classroom. We (coaching staff) will be taking the weekend off, so those of you attending Far Westerns in Reno, we wish you and your team best wishes and great competition. Pass, set and hammer with intent.
