summer sessions

Hope that you all are enjoying Memorial Day weekend. Lets give it up for men and women who protect our country. Congrats to Asst. Coach, Julie Meisner and her husband, Matt as they are expecting their third child in January! Doing some painting around the house with Sunshine and Mia, and putting the finishing touches on our summer training program so I can get it out to the team. During the summer months our 8-week, Preseason I&II workout is a split-day, comprehensive training program that will enable, both returners and incoming players - aka "newbies"- to arrive at campus on August 10 ripped and ready to go. During this training phase players will train upper body and do speed and agility exercises on Mondays and Thursdays, and plyometics followed by lower body on Tuesdays and Fridays. Wednesdays, and weekends are days off. What! Days off coach? Yes, rest is an important, and often overlooked, aspect of training. A handful of you will be graduating seniors in the coming weeks and I offer you early congrats and look forward to you joining our program this fall. Keep up the great work. It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference - Bear Bryant Now let's get after it.
