Since last season ended I have been enjoying college life. I have been spending time with my family, friends, and teammates. I have also been working as a nanny.
BUsports: How did the spring season go for the team ?
This year the spring season was a big deal. We know that we are going to be young in the fall so everyone stepped up; confidence was built and the level of play grew. As a team we worked hard, and we all had fun in the process.
BUsports: If you had to pick one area of the game that you improved upon most during the spring season, what would it be?
I feel my defense grew the most. Defense has grown into my favorite part of the game so I can appreciate the fact that it has improved.
BUsports: Is there anything specific that you're working on this summer to help you out when the season starts in the fall?
My footspeed and vertical are the areas that I am pushing myself in harder. I'm also trying to get my mile down to 7:30...we will see what happens.
BUsports: When you look ahead to the 2009 season, what are you most excited about?
I am most excited about our 2009 team. Every year I have been at Bethany I have loved every one of my teammates. I can't wait to meet the new girls and see how we all interact. Our team is more than a team, it is a sisterhood.
BUsports: What are some of the goals that you have as an individual for next fall?
My individual goals are to grow as a person, take everything in stride, and to be there for my teammates. Ultimately I want this team to bond, we may be young this year but we will still be strong. The younger girls are going to have a great future with BU volleyball.
BUsports: Any exciting plans for the summer before fall practices start?
My cousin is getting married August 1st and I am her maid of honor so I have been very consumed with wedding stuff. I plan on going the cabin, relaxing, and fishing and spend a good amount of time at the beach.
