speaking amongst some greats

Wow. It finally stopped raining around here and it is great to see the sun.  Tonight I will be alongside several volleyball-coaching greats, John Dunning (Stanford), Olympic silver medalist, Sue Woodstra (CSU Humboldt) and stellar local JC coach, Gabby Neville (Cabrillo), as we will answer questions about the recruiting process at the various college levels for members of  Main Beach VBC.  I cannot wait to elaborate on the NAIA's fewer recruiting restrictions (i.e.dead-periods do not exist, texting/calling is celebrated) and how they allow me, the coach, the opportunity to really develop a relationship with my recruits and their families. There is obviously great volleyball at all the NCAA levels, and I have many friends that coach at NCAA institutions but college volleyball is not just played at that level.  In fact the majority of the top-10 NAIA volleyball programs can compete with (and often beat)  NCAA DI and DII programs.  Bottom line - I get to discuss Bethany volleyball and NAIA college volleyball to a mostly NCAA partisan crowd.  Should be fun!
