spring training and tutelage
Wow! It has been awhile since my last post. Things are going great here in BU-land. Spring practice season is happening - 2 court practices and 2 weight training sessions per week. Due to varied class schedules, it's up to each athlete to get her weight training sessions done every week. These sessions focus on muscle imbalances, and heavy on core and shoulder work. Team has been working hard and progress is showing. On a sad but glad note - Grandpa Bob Hope passed away on Valentines Day at the young age of 96. Among the countless lessons and adventures under his tutelage - he helped me "cut my teeth" on the sport of volleyball at our church back in the 80's. Specifically how to pass the Japanese sidearm float serve - "one wicked googly" as Seinfeld puts it. We are glad he is in a much better place. Sideout note - Congrats to recruit, Hannah Walsh and her Rancho Valley teams 33rd place finish at Vegas. Be well, pass nails and stay caffeinated my friends.
