digging life with Kelsey

This is the fourth in an 8-part series profiling the returning members of BU volleyball as they prepare for the 2009 season. Let's meet soon-to-be DS sophomore, Kelsey Sanner.

BUsports: What have you been up to since last season ended? Anything interesting or exciting? I moved home for the summer and I have been working at Hollister, working out, and hanging out with friends!

BUs ports: How do you feel the spring season went for the team and for you as an individual? I feel like the spring season was really good, we grew a lot closer during the spring season and we all improved a lot. As an individual I enjoyed repetition and being able to get a lot accomplished.

BUsports: If you had to pick one area of the game that you improved upon most during the spring season, what would it be? My serving.

BUsports: Is there anything specific that you've worked on this summer to help you out when the season starts in the fall? I played a sand volleyball league in May and now I am in a more serious adult league with some people I used to play with. I have been getting a lot of reps in and hopefully it will show in the fall.

BUsports: When you look ahead to the 2009 season, what are you most excited about? Meeting our new team, working hard, and being on a set schedule.

BUsports: What are some of the goals that you have as an individual for this fall? I would definitely like to improve my serve receive passing and make our defense one of the stronger parts of our team.

BUsports: When you’re not on the volleyball court, what are you most likely doing? Being crazy with Lauren and Kim, laughing, cleaning, or doing homework.

BUsports: Are you a fan of any other sports? What teams or players do you follow?
I followed the NBA finals this summer and the draft but I don't have a specific player or team that i stick to, I just like to watch. I also watch golf with my dad, mostly just because he likes it but my favorite golfer is Phil Mickelson.

BUsports: Complete this sentence: ‘The best thing about being a Bruin is ...’ that you have the best people surrounding you, making you want to be better.
