serve or receive?
Light dusting of snow not too far from campus this past week and today we have constant rainfall that has delayed our trip to get our Christmas tree. No worries. Time for a little blog post. Serving or receiving? What is your approach to the Christmas holiday? My captains are instructed to choose to serve first if the coin flips in our favor. I'll take serve vs. receive any day. Sideout note: I figure this is the preference for most teams on this planet, other than, Penn State, who score points just by turning in the line-up sheet! One of our recuits just the other day told me that her family is giving all the money that they had saved for Christmas gifts to their church this year - "we already have so much," she said. Awesome! During each Chistmas season, my family (parents, sibs, etc) choose various organizations to donate to. This year we contributed to the following organizations: RSF -Earthspeak (cleft-palate surgery organization - Mia was born with a cleft-palate condition), Santa Cruz Al Salvador (enhance and enrich the lives of individuals in the Cuidadela de Guillermo Ungo, El Salvador), and Side-out Foundation (established to raise money and awareness about Cancer through the sport of volleyball). How can you and your family, or maybe team, serve others this Christmas season. Have a good weekend.
